About Me
This will be my 13th year of teaching as well as my 13th year in Team 6B at F.B. Leon Guerrero Middle School. I have a BA.Ed. in Secondary Education - Social Studies and a MA.Ed. in Language and Literacy. I taught 6th grade social studies from 1997 to 2004 and 6th grade reading from 2004 to 2007. In 2007, I returned to teaching social studies and have enjoyed it immensely.
I love to read all kinds of books - especially romance and thriller. I love to go shopping and do scrapbooking. I also love to spoil my 5 nieces and 5 nephews! I am on "Team Jacob" and I swoon for "Legolas". I'm addicted to the TV Food Network. My goal in life is to visit historical sites around the world.
My Mission
My mission is for all students to be actively involved and engaged in learning history. It is important that we learn and do so in a fun and memorable way. I want to help students see the importance of learning about the past to help them survive the future.
In 6th grade social studies, students' learning will be focused around the Guam Department of Education Social Studies Standards and the Social Studies SAT10 Skills.
